So, I started this new job a few months ago. So far, it's fantastic! The hours are long and I don't get as much sleep as I used to, but I get to do things the way I want to and I really enjoy the work. I gained a lot of weight while taking the prerequisite course required in order to get this job. But I'm sure the nature of my work will help solve that problem. I have no coworkers but I am beginning to network with other professionals in the industry. There aren't any training seminars available and I haven't read the New Employee Handbook yet, but I'm sure I'll get some information in the next newsletter. I wonder when I can expect that to come... Upper management is helpful sometimes, but she's been working in the corporate office for about 25 years now. (She may need a refresher course, just between us.)
I haven't received my first paycheck yet. I really hope it comes soon. Come to think of it... I never really negotiated a salary. Hmmm... I wonder how soon I'll get my first raise. According to http://mom.salary.com the local annual salary low for my field is $123,248.00. Wow! That would be great! Maybe I should check the mail again. My paycheck should come anyday now.

I am posting a comment because it is fun to get them, it's good to know that folks are checking out your blog.
Again, very cute pix. Elias favors his daddy.
Good luck with that paycheck! For 9 years now I have been checking the mail, waiting for it to come. BTW- make sure your hubbie knows he is your coworker. Parenting works best for everyone when the parents are a team. I have seen too many mommies do it alone. Besides we gotta train our boys to be men. Good men do laundry, change diapers, get baby at 3:00 a.m. feedings, know how to sword fight with sticks, and write their names in the snow (with plumbing fixtures we girls don't have).
Thank you Denise. Yes, I should make an amendment here... my husband is my coworker. We make a great team. He is a great husband and father. He is a wonderful caregiver. And he does all of those things and more! Laundry, dishes, diapers... his specialty is breakfast. Yum! Of course, he still finds time for all of those "Honey Do" items I give him, as well. What a great man I have!!!
Happy Birthday to you yesterday!
